YOUNG JUSTIN TRUDEAU
Eva was very fond of the whole Trudeau family, Pierre, Margaret and the three boys. When they were very young, pre-1978, Margaret came to Eva’s studio on Strathcona Ave. Westmount. An unmarked RCMP car remained parked outside. The two children of Eva’s neighbours, the Whiteman’s, came home from school, saw the unmarked black car with dangerous-looking me inside, got scared [this was a period of threats against Jewish children] and called the Westmount Police. They came at once and had a testy “discussion” with the RCMP before leaving! One of the Whiteman sons is in the large picture in the entrance hall.

THE FOUR FACES OF TRUDEAU
Eva adored Pierre Trudeau and had many opportunities to paint and sketch him, talk with him and absorb his brilliance and philosophy. She found him fascinating and this four-sided portrait, which he also greatly appreciated and which he autographed, reflected what she found as his multi-faceted personality.
